Brigada del Amor: Celebrating the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia in Cuba

Join Jesus Puerto in Cuba for the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia! Together, we'll celebrate pride at the La Jornada festivities and events! We'll also visit, exchange, and learn from many artists and nonprofits who are doing work in the Cuban LGBTQ+ space.

These include activist collective Proyecto Arcoiris / “Rainbow Project,” long-running Cuban organization Cenesex (The National Center for Sex Education), AfroDiverso, which does advocacy work in the Afro-LGBTQ community, and ONA Galeria, a local gallery promoting art that engages with themes of identity and intersectionality.

We'll enjoy Cuban food, nightlife, and a classic car cruise, and take a trip to Regla, Guanabacoa, and Mi Cayito, a very popular openly gay beach. So many more activities and events can be found in the itinerary below. Bienvenidos!
